I started my career when I was 18 year old as a software developer before I finished the high school and before I went to the university of engineering of Ferrara. Then I become a freelancer and worked for a lot of clients, meanwhile I started several personal projects.
In 2017 when I was working for a small local agency as a business analyst, I started figuring out that I prefer to lead groups of people instead of making things by myself. In 2021 my career as a CTO takes off and I started leading a group of developer in a startup I was participating in.
Passionate about turning dreams into reality, I thrive on the exhilarating journey of bringing ideas to life. Innovation is my driving force, and I find immense joy in creating novel solutions to challenges. Every problem is an opportunity to explore new paths, and I am committed to pioneering ways that not only solve issues but also inspire positive change.
I started my CTO career in 2021 when I join a company I was previously working with as a project manager and developer freelancer.
As a CTO I reach the goal to plan and oversee more than 10 projects in about 2 years. That projects were in many different fields, such as aerospace, chemical waste recycling, document management, notarization and many others.
Why also "as a service"? Some businesses are not always in need to a full time Chief Technology Officer, so in the last years comes up this kind of partnership in which a CTO sets all the technologies, procedures, tools and so on, and then he leaves the company.
Chief Technology Officer (or Chief Technical Officer) is an executive role by which a person is in charge to make proper technical choices to achive some company goals.
For instance:
Company portfolio management
Defining wether or not having internal developers
In case internal team are selected against external one, CTO is in charge to create it and define roles
Defining what kind of technologies are ok to adopt and what not
Adopting software or services to level up company efficiency such as CRM, ERP or some other prductivity manager
Accordingly to productivity software adopted, CTO set up and explain all the process needed to increase producitivty
Defining the documentation about
Technical details
How sellers have to speak with technician
And so on
Set a checklist of technological targets to achieve and how to do it
Investigate why your projects aren't progressing profitably or are stagnant (please, also check "Project/Product assessment")
And many other technical and executive tasks
With a proven track record in project management and business analysis, I bring a wealth of expertise in orchestrating successful project lifecycles.
My strategic approach involves conducting thorough business analyses to identify key objectives, followed by meticulous project planning and execution.
Through effective communication and stakeholder engagement, I've consistently delivered results that align with organizational goals, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of both project management and business analysis domains.
I'm a Google certificated Project manager.
To be honest, I'm not an IIBA certified business analyst.
Is the technology stack you've implemented good for your business case? Are you spending too much in external services? This assessment is intended to gather all the informations that could gives you ideas on how to improve your product and reduce costs.
Is the team working well? Are there some frictions between members? Are all the needed role covered? This assessment is intended to check if the team is ok or needs some improvements.
Is your company development moving fast or is it stagnant? Are you going out of budget? Are you missing too much deadlines? This assessment is intended to assess what are the real reasons by which you're struggling to taking off.
I participated in several startups and I'm also co-founder of Venture Hub startup studio. So I can help you in many fields, such as:
Structure your startup
Get in touch with some investors and well present to them
Conducting a previous market analysis
Conducting a competitor analysis
And so on
Creativity, curiosity and initiative are the keys to have success in business (and also in private life in my opinion). When this things works together, natural outcomes are ideas and desire to try to make it and see whether you had reason or crash against a wall.
But what could be better than pursue your own enterprise to achieve personal satisfaction and maybe happiness?
And when you decide to turn your dreams into reality the real enterpreneur in you need to comes out, because you start struggling against real world things, such as funder claims, target market, market analysis, business planning, team biulding, public speach and more.
Whether or noy you have been successful with your enterprise, by doing so you have given an incredible boost to your knowledge and skills.
I started my career at 18 as a software developer. Both for standalone and web based software.
I studied software engineering at Engineering department of the University of Ferrara.
At the age of 26 i decided to pursue a freelance career, because in my mind there was always the idea of doing my own projects and also to help other people to reach their goals with my focus on technical things.
Here are some of the languges i used most:
Python
PHP
Java
JS (Node and all the *JS related world)
C/C++
.NET (especially C# and VB)
And more
AI and Data Science are the future. Do i really need to explain why?
I worked as a CTO in a blockchain verticalized company called Blockchain PRO so I make concrete managerial experience in this field.
Blockchain is a technology that originated in early 1980s and gained a concrete application and adoption in 2009 with the beginning of cryptocurrency era.
Blockchain is for cryptocurrencies what the combustion engine is for cars. So it could have many more fields of application, just like the engine, that is used for many different uses, such as moped, digger, airplane, boat, ship and more.
For instance:
Increasing trasparency
Notarization
Payment
Asset tranfer
And so on
I've been always interested in what involves space exploration, aerospace, aeronautical and so on.
In the last years I'm strongly belive that this industry will be the future. Not only for doing business but also to inspiring and shaping the society of tomorrow.
I had previous experiences as:
Business Analyst
Team leader
Software developer
CRM & ERP integrator and developer
